My mother homeschooled me with my brother through all of our grades and is a brilliant writer. She has inspired me a great deal and continues to be a great influence on my life. Learn more about my mother at her About Lori Lopez page. My father is a skilled shoemaker from Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico.
I have won writing contests for many years, including being published in several poetry books. Beginning at age five, I performed on stage and screen with my brother as a Mexican Folklore duo. I also appeared in a commercial and an independent film. Writing is my main focus and what I love to do most, but I have many other interests as well such as acting, wilderness activities including survival training, cooking and especially baking, training in the art of swordsmanship and knighthood, art, music (playing, writing, singing), soccer, and reading in particular the works of J.R.R. Tolkien.
